From a Journal entry on January 8, 2016:
A few nights ago, I dreamed I met with several Llewellyn executives, editors, and Barbara Moore. They called me in to defend my tarot book. Although I felt very nervous, I answered questions as needed and shared my vision with everyone.
Later, as I prepared for dinner with Barb and Dylan, I waited outside. The sky darkened, signaling an approaching storm. A limo pulled up to the front door, and its door swung open, revealing Mary K. Greer as she spilled out, rushing forward with a wide grin.
“Welcome to the family! They have purchased your book.”
I hugged her and dropped to the ground in tears of happiness.

This small snippet was written a few years before Llewellyn acquired and published Tarot Inspired Life. Earlier in 2015, I was at a lovely farmstead with Barb, Dylan, and about ten attendees. Barb taught us a transformative technique combining tarot, shamanism, and magical practices. For three days, we learned what each piece was and then combined it for a ritual we were to do on our own.
I performed mine on the Winter Solstice. Two weeks later, I had the above dream.
It’s now 2025, and Tarot Inspired Life went out of print in December 2024. I’ve kept the Looking Glass process in a composition notebook, which I started reviewing to archive in a fire-safe box.
I forgot I wrote these words when submitting the book to Llewellyn. I had no idea they would become my publisher. I marvel at the magic of this small entry as it foretells how and when my little book made its way into the public’s hands. Magic works folks. It truly does!
Tarot Inspired Life is the little book that could and did. I turned in the proposal on or around January 8, 2018. It was released on March 8, 2019, and has gone through two editions—almost three years and two months to the date of this dream. I’m all smiles at the lifespan of my first book, which took the first ten years of classes, and my inspirations to be bound into one tome that has guided others to do more with their decks. It was translated into Russian (so cool) and nominated for an award.
As I type this, I am working on more projects, both books and decks. However, re-reading this is an incredible way to close the circle on a significant chapter of my life.
Thank you for reading the book, following the website, and my journey.
